Is it the same as vinyl sheet?
No. Luxury vinyl is a newer, more advanced version of vinyl sheet. While all vinyl is strong, this one is thicker, and with a dense, clear melamine wear layer on top that protects the floor against scratches and scuffs; spills sit at the top just waiting to be wiped off.Although the standard vinyl sheet is available in an explosion of colors and patterns, luxury has more design options, such as the plank or tile cuts.
Like all vinyl, it is easy to maintain with just a regular sweeping and periodic mopping. Installation is usually a floating floor technique. The pieces click together to form a mat that hovers over existing subfloors.
