Avoid water damage with waterproof floors

Wouldn't it be wonderful to have a floor that's both gorgeous and able to repel any amount of water? That's what you get with waterproof flooring. Read today's post to learn more about the benefits of waterproof floors.

The secret’s in the core

Cores are the foundation of a floor. Once it's damaged, the entire surface needs repair or replacement.

Waterproof vinyl flooring is built with WPC (wood plastic composite) or SPC (stone plastic composite) cores. As a result, they won't peel or ripple–no matter how long the puddle stands.

Both offer the same high level of moisture protection and are so durable they’re graded for commercial use. The only difference is the feeling underfoot.

WPC floors are softer and more resilient. SPC is solid and firm, much like a hard surface.

Thickness matters

Waterproof vinyl flooring is an engineered version of luxury vinyl. They're thicker, more durable, and, of course, constructed with those technologically advanced cores.

This also means it has the same high-end style as luxury vinyl. In addition, there are true-to-life images of wood, stone, and tile.

Waterproof floors have depth, dimension, and textured looks. Antique Craft by RevWood Plus or Adura Max Tile by Mannington are ones to explore.

Easy care

Like luxury vinyl, all these floors need is regular sweeping and periodic mopping with a manufacturer-approved cleaner. Avoid waxy, shine-promoting cleaners as they damage the finish and dull your waterproof floors in Houston.

Installation, too, is easy. The pieces can either be glued down or installed to float.
